Equal Opportunities and Diversity
Our clients trust us to propose candidates with a healthy range of attitudes and characteristics that fairly reflect the society we live in. It is because our culture celebrates diversity and supports equal employment opportunities that we can provide this service.
All employment decisions are made, subject to legal obligations, on a non-discriminatory basis. Due consideration is given to the recruitment, promotion, training and working environment of all staff, including those with disabilities.
We recognise the importance of diversity in the workplace for our own and our clients’ businesses, both in increasing the recognition of our brand amongst a wider audience and to encourage a diverse candidate base and workforce.
As part of our commitment we have joined the Interbank Diversity Forum and are proud supporters of the Race for Opportunity. We also work with ‘Business In The Community’, a UK movement with over 700 members whose purpose is to inspire, challenge and support businesses in improving their impact on society.
Michael Page is a member of the ‘Employer Forum on Age’, an independent network setting the agenda for age and employment issues in the UK. Upon introduction of the Employer Equality Regulations in October 2006, Michael Page was nominated for ‘best implementation in its sector’. Following the legislation on age discrimination, Michael Page set up the Age Discrimination Working Party to review our policies, procedure and systems of the Company.
At the other end of the spectrum we participate in a number of external initiatives that champion the youth of our nation, including Global Graduates and The Brokerage, a charity whose aim is to increase the ambition and employability of young people in the 11 London Boroughs.
